WYO Opens Theatre Workshop Platform to Build International Friendship Through Performing Arts

Through coordination and cooperation from the Italian Embassy in Thailand, Bangkok University has signed a cooperation agreement with the World Youth Orchestra (WYO) Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting peace through music and performing arts under “The Sounds of Brotherhood” project, which has been organized in many countries worldwide, including Vietnam, Lebanon, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Morocco, and Iran.
This time, the WYO team traveled to Thailand to organize activities and special performances, beginning with a visit to Bangkok University and conducting a Theatre Workshop for performing arts students, School of Communication Arts at the Black Box Theatre, Bangkok University. The workshop was honored by international experts led by Mr. Damiano Giuranna WYO Founder and Artistic Director, Mr. Matteo Pinazzi Project Manager, Ms. Valeria Almerighi Coordinator of Theatrical Workshop, Ms. Carolina Leporatti, and Mr. Federico Brugnone, who came to teach and share knowledge with students. This was considered a valuable experience that would inspire participating students.
Following the activities held at Bangkok University from July 22 – August 3, 2025, on August 4, 2025, WYO organized a Final Show performance titled “Sounds of Dialogues” at the Black Box Theatre, Bangkok University. On August 6, 2025, they held the “Sounds Of Brotherhood” performance in collaboration with several prestigious educational institutions, including Kalyaniwadhana Music Institute, Chulalongkorn University, Assumption University, Rangsit University, Silpakorn University, and Mahidol University. This served as a musical performance platform that provided opportunities for students in performing arts, dramatic arts, dance, and music programs, as well as university lecturers, artists, and the general public to participate and gain experience from international-level experts.
