The event aimed to enhance the capabilities and potential of creative professionals while disseminating in-depth knowledge across four key sectors of the creative content

Bangkok University, in collaboration with the Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) (CEA), organized the “Awesome Skill Project” under the concept Taste-savvy teens, come try your test”. The event aimed to enhance the capabilities and potential of creative professionals while disseminating in-depth knowledge across four key sectors of the creative content and media industry: film and video, broadcasting, publishing, and software (games and animation). The primary objective was to provide upskilling and reskilling opportunities for creative professionals across various regions — generating employment, fostering differentiation, and adding value to businesses through high-quality innovation, which serves as a key driving force in elevating Thailand’s creative economy to grow and compete on the international stage.

Dr.Peerachai Kerdsint, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs and act for Dean, School of Digital Media and Cinematic Arts, welcomed students from both Bangkok University and other institutions who joined the event. Mr. Pichit Virankabutra Deputy Executive Director of of the Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization), presided over the opening ceremony.

The event created a space for participants to try, listen, watch, and engage directly with industry professionals, helping them discover both their “true taste” and “the right path” within Thailand’s creative industry, through five experiential journeys:

Journey 1: ‘Test’ Talk — A talk stage featuring professionals who have “tasted” success.

 – “Surviving the Test”: Making films we truly believe in, by K.Kai Nathapol Boonprakob, director of the series The Evil Lawyer and Mad Unicorn

– “Cross-Media Storytelling”: When sound and pages tell the same story, by Patikan Pakkai, Bangkok University alumnus and editor at Salmon Books, alongside Fon Atitharn Kanjanapong.

Journey 2: ‘Test’ Lab — A hands-on workshop inviting students to try short-clip editing using Canva.

Journey 3: ‘Test’ It and See — Industry professionals showcase the real, behind-the-scenes process of crafting compelling ideas and memorable concepts, by Benz Thanachat Siriphattarachai, advertising director, writer, and co-founder of Salmon House.

Journey 4: Finding Your ‘Right Test’ Exhibition — Discovering the “right taste” — which path truly fits you.

Journey 5: ‘Test’ the System — Putting it to the real test, to determine whether this path is truly the right one for you.

Bangkok University has consistently prioritized the development of students’ creative potential, believing that in today’s professional landscape — whether in the film industry, print media, advertising, or digital content — one of the most essential skills is not knowledge alone, but the courage to experiment, the willingness to make mistakes, and the ability to learn from them.
