Knowledge Management in Action: Navigating Uncertainty and Crisis

The Thailand Knowledge Management Network (TKMN)—comprising four leading organizations: the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD), the Knowledge Network Institute of Thailand (KNIT), the Institute for Knowledge and Innovation Southeast Asia (IKI-SEA) Bangkok University, and TRIS Corporation—jointly hosted the annual seminar entitled “Knowledge Management in Action: Navigating Uncertainty and Crisis”on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 08:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), Bangkok. The forum served as a national platform for knowledge and innovation exchange among public, private, and academic sectors. Its primary goal was to enhance organizational resilience and sustainable growth in times of crisis while fostering collaboration under the Thailand KM Network.

Key activities of the event include:

  • Keynote Lecture: “The New Global Order Unveiled: Trends, Transformations and Leaderships” by H.E. (Prof.) Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, President of the Chulalongkorn University Council and President of the Chiang Mai University Council, Former Deputy Prime Minister, and Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
  • Panel Discussion: “Knowledge Management in Action: Navigating Uncertainty and Crisis” featuring Dr. Twarath Sutabutr, President of OKMD; Dr. Amporn Sangmanee, Managing Director of TRIS Corporation; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Borworn Papasratorn, Director of KNIT; and Dr. Chulatep Senivongse na Ayudhya, Lecturer and Researcher at IKI-SEA, Bangkok University.
  • Knowledge Workshops were hold on a variety of practical topics, including the KM Changer Game, ISO 30401: WHY & HOW for KM Practitioners, and AI and Targeted Knowledge Communication.

Assoc. Prof.Dr.Vincent Michel Ribiere, Director, Doctor of Philosophy Program in Knowledge Management and Innovation Management, Bangkok University, emphasized that today’s organizations face constant uncertainty and rapid change. Systematic knowledge management has become a critical capability for enabling adaptation and sustainable growth. The Knowledge Management Global Network (KMGN) Forum in Bangkok serves as a platform for global experts to exchange approaches that empower organizations to navigate crises with resilience.
