Airline Business Management Department, School of Humanities and Tourism Management, organized a curriculum enhancement activity “BU AIR Seminar 2024: Intercultural Working in Aviation Industry” to present case studies and examples from speakers’ experiences.
At the event, Ajarn Nattaporn Chuensuwan, Chairperson, Airline Business Management Department, welcomed the speakers and students participating in the BU AIR Seminar 2024. This activity provided valuable experiences and knowledge about working in the aviation industry, particularly regarding working in culturally diverse environments, which is essential and inevitable when working with international aviation organizations. The focus was on recognizing the impact of cultural differences on communication, decision-making, and developing communication skills in diverse environments.
Mr. Andrew Chumney, an international aviation safety expert, consultant for the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), and strategic consultant for Vietnam’s aviation industry development, gave an in-depth lecture about the challenges of cross-cultural work in the aviation industry.
The event included opinion exchange activities, career preparation activities for the aviation industry, and Interactive Quiz with Audience to review knowledge and create engagement among participants. Students gained insights into self-development in Cultural Competence, building credibility in a global environment, and responding to challenges in an ever-changing industry.
This activity was supervised throughout by Ajarn Tawat Weston and Ajarn Teepakorn Kampitak, Instructor from Airline Business Management Department, School of Humanities and Tourism Management.
