
BU Mini Hackathon 2025: Arena for Innovative and Technology Business Ideas

School of Entrepreneurship and Management (BUSEM) organized the “BU Mini Hackathon 2025,” a platform for students to showcase business ideas incorporating innovation and technology, while developing skills in presenting business concepts in real-world situations.


The BU Mini Hackathon 2025 attracted significant interest from students across all faculties and years, with numerous project submissions. Distinguished internal and external committee members selected 11 finalist teams, who participated in workshops and received guidance from external experts throughout the event. The finalists presented their work to a judging panel led by Dr.Wutnipong Warakraisawad, Dean, School of Entrepreneurship and Management, Dr.Krairoek Pinkaeo, Dean, School of Business Administration, K. Nuttapum Assawasirisin, Investment Director of OVENTURE GROUP, Dr. Therdpong Honghirunruang, Committee Member of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency, and Dr. Jirachaya Duangburong, Director of Business Analysis and Industrial Alliance Division, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).


The winning teams were:

First Prize: Team OxyCube (10,000 Baht scholarship)
A small garden cube that filters air using Algae Bioreactor innovation to capture air pollutants and convert CO₂ to O₂. Designed for installation in residences or buildings, aimed at producing clean air for better health and global environment.

First Runner-up: Team Butter Bear (8,000 Baht scholarship)
“Right Here” – A mental health application designed to create a safe space, helping teenagers manage stress and mental health through diary writing and community connection, incorporating gamification to make mental health care more accessible.

Second Runner-up: Team Style Your Cake (5,000 Baht scholarship)
An online platform connecting cake shops nationwide, featuring custom cake design capabilities for shops offering personalized cakes.


Honorable Mentions (2,000 Baht scholarship each):
Team GreenExc: A platform enhancing P2P online transaction safety through an Escrow system, reducing fraud risks and protecting both buyers and sellers.
Team Eco Eternal Rest: An environmentally friendly post-mortem service using biosensors for body decomposition, offering an alternative to traditional burial methods.
Team FinPlanPro: A comprehensive financial planning platform featuring savings, investment, insurance, and tax management, with drag & drop widgets and real-time API partner connections.
Team Easy Store: An inventory management app for retail and wholesale stores, offering efficient product location and management capabilities.
