Promote academic cooperation and develop partnerships in education, research, and academic affairs

The signing was conducted by Associate Professor Sansern Milindasuta, Senior Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Bangkok University, and Professor Dr. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, with executive teams from both sides serving as witnesses. This collaboration aims to promote academic cooperation and develop partnerships in education, research, and academic affairs. The signing ceremony was held to foster joint development and enhancement of academic potential between both institutions, with the hope of maximizing benefits for student learning, creating quality research work, and providing valuable academic services to society and the nation at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

The project that has already begun implementation is the AR CPR application under the name “Siriraj AR CPR” which resulted from collaboration between the Center of Specialty Innovation (CoSI) at Bangkok University and the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. This application is designed to work on smartphones and tablets, allowing users to learn chest compression procedures, AED usage, and patient assessment through 3D simulations and animations overlaid on the real world, complete with real-time interactive systems that provide guidance on correct positioning, depth, and speed of chest compressions.

Siriraj AR CPR is the first application in Thailand to receive direct certification from a medical institution. Users who complete the learning process and testing will receive a certificate from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, elevating the standard of life-saving education to be widely accessible and effective. The application is currently in the testing phase and will soon be available for public download through Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS).

This collaboration is not merely about sharing resources or expertise, but rather opening up spaces for joint learning, knowledge exchange, and creating valuable academic and social works sustainably, leading to the elevation of Thai education quality.
