28 BU Students Show World-Class Potential — Winning Awards and Building International Achievements

BU Global Achievement Award 2026 celebrates 28 students who have brought recognition to Bangkok University on the international stage, while passing inspiration on to their juniors.

When determination turns into achievement, and that achievement reaches all the way to the global stage, the success of BU students becomes a source of pride not only for the students themselves, but also a reflection of the power of real learning and real action. The Academic Affairs Division of Bangkok University held the BU Global Achievement Award 2026 at The Lobby, Tourism Tower, to celebrate and honor students who received awards or produced internationally recognized work during the 2025 academic year.

At the event, Assoc. Prof.Dr.Supachet Chansarn, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, presided over the presentation of certificates of honor to 28 students from 5 schools: School of Information Technology and Innovation, School of Engineering, School of Humanities and Tourism Management, School of Entrepreneurship and Business Management, and School of Digital Media and Cinematic Arts. He also offered congratulatory remarks and words of encouragement, urging students to carry forward the experience and success from this occasion toward even bigger goals.

List of award-winning students and their international achievements for the 2025 academic year

School of Information Technology and Innovation (13 students) — Combined achievements: SEA Game Awards 2025 (Finalists) / ASEAN Cyber Shield (ACS) – Outstanding Student / IBM Z Ambassador / Global Game Jam 2026 – Best Creative Content

  • Mr. Jirattha Kiatmankong — Finalist at the SEA Game Awards 2025, and showcased work at LEVEL UP KL 2025 in Malaysia (Development’s Choice Award, Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Showcase 2025)
  • Mr. Danupon Thepsingh — Outstanding ACS EDU Student Award; selected to attend a Bootcamp in Seoul, South Korea, under the 2nd ASEAN Cyber Shield (ACS) Online Education Program
  • Mr. Worapol Siriburi — Selected as an IBM Z Ambassador by IBM Thailand under IBM’s international program
  • Ms. Ananyaporn Klampeng — Her game “Alien That Eats People” won Best Creative Content at Global Game Jam 2026, Gamescom Asia

  • Ms. Yonlawaree Kanjasaen — 1st Runner-up award in the patient rehabilitation innovation competition at the NTU Hackathon: Innovating Functional Recovery, a collaboration between Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) and Klongdinsor

School of Humanities and Tourism Management (4 students) — Combined achievements: Silver and Bronze medals — Young Chefs Grand Prix 2026 (FHA, Singapore)

School of Entrepreneurship and Business Management (SEM) (6 students) — Combined achievements: 1st Place World Championship — Babson Collaborative Global Student Challenge 2026

School of Digital Media and Cinematic Arts (3 students) — Combined achievements: The Bluberri Production team’s animated film “BOND” received awards and was selected by a total of 9 international film festivals, including the Award Winner (Finalist, Animation) honor at the Rising Star Award for Animation 2025, part of the Bangkok International Digital Content Festival (BIDC)

Additional achievement

  • Mr. Korrapat Jeeradit (School of Digital Media and Cinematic Arts) — His short film “Ashes and Echoes” was selected for its World Premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR 2026), in the Short & Mid-length category, in the Netherlands

The success of all 28 students is not just about the awards themselves — behind each achievement lies a story of real effort and action. Beyond the presentation of certificates, the event also created space for students to share their own stories through the “Student Stories” segment. Representatives from each faculty shared their inspiration, the work behind the scenes, and the challenges and obstacles they had to overcome to reach the international stage — turning the success seen on stage into more than just an “award,” but a story that can inspire fellow students and future generations.

For the Academic Affairs Division of Bangkok University, this success is not an ending but “the beginning of the next step.” The division remains committed to continuing to support and organize similar initiatives to honor students who bring recognition to the university — and most importantly, to pass the energy from senior students on to their juniors, encouraging everyone to dare to set bigger goals, dare to try challenging things, and believe that their own work can also stand on the world stage.
