“Showcasing the Potential of the New Generation of Designers, Winning the 1st Runner-up Award at Tabletop Game Starsister Designer Gathering”

Congratulations to Ms. Sutthida Choosomphop, Mr. Nawapol Buason, and Mr. Thanakrit Unjaidee, students in the Art and Design program, School of Fine and Applied Arts, for showcasing their creative ideas through a board game and winning the 1st Runner-up Award at the Tabletop Game Starsister Designer Gathering design competition.
In addition, the work “Tales of Gazeon (Platformer, Boss Fight, Story Rich)” received the 1st Runner-up Award at the Starsister Designer Gathering 2026 tabletop game design competition — a platform for tabletop game designers aimed at developing them toward professional careers, while also offering opportunities for fundraising and bringing their work to the global market. For the 1st Runner-up prize, the organizing company holds the rights to develop and distribute the game for a period of three years, providing the designer with a minimum revenue share of 5% per box sold; if the work is not developed within that period, the rights will be returned to the original creator.
“Tales of Gazeon” is an adventure game in which players take on the role of members of the Gazeon guild, embarking on missions across different regions to uncover the cause of disasters occurring throughout the country. Players must cooperate and strategize to defeat bosses in each area. The game features 10 story chapters, 8 bosses, 4 maps, and 4 playable characters, delivering an intense adventure experience while promoting planning, teamwork, and effective decision-making.
This achievement reflects the potential of students from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Bangkok University, in applying their knowledge of art, design, and game creation to produce quality work recognized at the national level — reaffirming the university’s commitment to developing a new generation of creators ready to drive innovation and advance into professional careers in the gaming and creative media industries.
