Exchange between Thailand’s long-established fashion industry and the creative energy of the new generation

School of Fine and Applied Arts, Bangkok University, took part in “EMPRESSION 2026: FASHION AND THE CITY,” a celebration of Thai fashion and creative expression, organized by Art In The Mall at EM District. The event brought together work from renowned Thai fashion brands and emerging designers from six leading fashion universities across the country, creating a space for exchange between Thailand’s long-established fashion industry and the creative energy of the new generation.

“EMPRESSION 2026: FASHION AND THE CITY” presented fashion as more than just clothing — framing it as a space that reflects culture, identity, creativity, and the spirit of the city, through a diverse range of designs and contemporary perspectives.

At the event, Bangkok University students presented the work of emerging fashion designers, reflecting creativity, individuality, and the ability to convey ideas through distinctive perspectives. The students’ work demonstrated the potential of the new generation to interpret fashion through creative concepts, personal storytelling, and a unique design approach.

Participating in EMPRESSION 2026 reflects Bangkok University’s commitment to supporting and promoting student potential, giving young people the opportunity to showcase their work in a real-world setting and gain experience presenting alongside leading brands and designers in the Thai fashion industry.

The exhibition also invites visitors to experience fashion through multiple dimensions — as a space for culture, dialogue, experimentation, and creative expression — connecting the perspectives of experienced designers with the energy of emerging creatives, set against the vibrant backdrop of Bangkok.
